Step 1
See the devices on your network
Sign in to the Xfinity xFi app. → Get help signing in
Tap the Devices Icon at the bottom of the screen.
Select an individual device to name, pause, or assign the device to a profile.

Get notifications when a new device joins your network
Sign in to the Xfinity xFi app. → Get help signing in
Tap the Notification Icon at the top left corner of the screen.
Select the Gear Icon at the top right of the screen.
Scroll down to choose the notification type.
Select the types of notifications you would like to receive and tap the boxes by each notification.
Tap Apply Changes if enabling push notifications, otherwise a confirmation message will appear once your preferences are updated.

Name the devices on your network
Sign in to the Xfinity xFi app. → Get help signing in
Tap the Devices Icon at the bottom of the screen.
Tap Personalize to name and identify new devices on your network.
Select the device you want to name.
Name the device and tap Next.
Identify the device type (tablet, computer, game console) and tap Apply.
Step 2
Create profiles for the people who use your home network
Sign in to the Xfinity xFi app. → Get help signing in
Tap the People Icon at the bottom of the screen.
Select Create a Profile.
Name your profile and choose an icon.
Tap Create.
Step
Block devices from your network
Sign in to the Xfinity xFi app. → Get help signing in
Create a profile named “Blocked Devices” or something similar.
Tap the People Icon and select Assign Device under your new profile.
Select the unassigned devices you want to block and tap Assign.
Exit the confirmation screen.
Select Pause All under your new profile and then choose, Until I Unpause.
Tap Apply Changes.

Pause devices or profiles on your network
Sign in to the Xfinity xFi app. → Get help signing in
Tap the People Icon.
Select the device you want to pause, or choose Pause All to pause the profile.
Select how long you want to pause the device of profile.
Tap Apply Changes.

Pause devices on your network
Sign in to the Xfinity xFi app. → Get help signing in
Select the Household profile.
Scroll down, mid-screen, to see daily profile activity.
Swipe left to see monthly activity.

Restart your xFi Gateway
Sign in to the Xfinity xFi app. → Get help signing in
Scroll down to Connection Trouble and select Restart Gateway.
Tap Restart.
