If you receive this error message when activating your WiFi Extender(s), your WiFi Extender is currently linked to another account and you are using an old version of the Xfinity app.
Next steps
If you’re receiving this error, please try activating your WiFi Extender(s) using Bluetooth and/or updating to the latest version of the Xfinity app and then try activating the WiFi Extenders again.
To activate using Bluetooth:
Enable Bluetooth on your smart phone and follow directions to activate Xfinity WiFi Extender.
To check for the latest app version:
- Launch the App Store or Play Store.
- Search for Xfinity.
- If a new version is available, click the Update button.
If you’re still experiencing an error after updating or if you can’t update to the newest version of the Xfinity app, please contact us. Be sure to have the serial number of the WiFi Extenders that you want to activate handy.
