Set Up XFINITY Text Alerts - My Account Help

Get alerts even when you're away from home. Learn about account updates with XFINITY alerts and get a list of available text commands.

Set up Mobile Alerts

In order to receive text alerts, you'll need to register your mobile device in My Account. Here's how:
  1. Sign in to My Account
  2. Click the Settings tab at the top of the page.

  3. Once you open the Settings tab, you'll be directed to your Account Details page. Click Edit in the mobile phone field of the Contact Email & Phone section of the page.

    Note: If you already have a mobile phone number associated with your account and would like to change that number, click Remove and then return to the first step in these instructions.
     
  4. On the next page, click Add a mobile phone number.

  5. Enter a mobile phone number in the appropriate field.

  6. Click Add Number.
  7. A confirmation message will appear indicating that a verification code has been sent to your mobile phone. Check your mobile phone for a text message from 266-278. (Note: The verification code will expire in the amount of time listed.)

  8. Enter the verification code in the appropriate field.
  9. Click Continue to save the mobile phone number to your account.
Set Up Mobile Alerts
  1. Sign in to My Account.
  2. Click the Settings tab at the top of the page.
  3. Click on Your Alerts & Notifications on the left sidebar.
  4. Manage your text message notifications by toggling the phone option on or off for each corresponding alert.

Register Additional Mobile Phone Numbers to Receive XFINITY Text Alerts

Each user can add one mobile phone number to receive text alerts about their account. To add a mobile phone number to any user other than the primary user, follow the steps below:
  1. Sign in to My Account.
  2. Click the Users tab at the top of the page.

  3. Select the user you'd like to set up mobile alerts for.

  4. Click Edit in the Mobile phone field at the top of the user page.
    Note: If you already have a mobile phone number associated with your account and would like to change that number, click Remove and then return to the first step in these instructions.
  5. On the next page, click Add a mobile phone number.

  6. Enter a mobile phone number in the appropriate field.

  7. Click Add Number.
