Add or change your chosen name and pronouns to your Xfinity accounts

Your chosen name can use letters (A–Z or a–z). It can also use an apostrophe, hyphen, or period. Xfinity may reject or remove a chosen name if it is rude, harmful, or vulgar. Xfinity may also remove a name that gives false information about who you are. For example, you cannot use a name that makes people think you work for the police or another government group when you do not.

You can have your chosen name, pronouns, or both show in the Xfinity app or on xfinity.com. Follow the steps below to make the change. You do not have to add a chosen name or pronouns. If you do not add them, Xfinity will keep using your legal name.

Changing your name in the app isn’t a legal name change. Change ownership of an Xfinity account.

Change your chosen name or pronouns in the Xfinity app

1. Tap the Account tab in the bottom right of your screen.
2. Tap Account settings.
3. Click Xfinity ID and Security.

Change your chosen name

1. Tap Edit name under your name.
   
2. Enter your chosen name in the First, Middle (optional), and Last name fields.
   • If you’re adding a chosen first name, you’ll also need a chosen last name.
     
3. Tap Save to complete the changes.

Change your chosen pronouns

1. Tap Add pronouns under your name.
   
2. Type your pronouns in the Search pronouns box and choose from the list.
   • If you don’t want to give pronouns, you can pick I do not wish to answer.
   • If you don’t find the pronouns you want, choose My pronoun is not listed.
3. Review your chosen pronouns and tap Save to finish.
4. Your pronouns will now appear next to your name.

Change your chosen name or pronouns online at xfinity.com

1. Click the person icon in the top-right of your screen to get to your account.
2. Click Account and identity.
3. Click Xfinity ID and Security.

4. Your pronouns will now appear next to your name.
