Yes. Self Protection customers must use the Xfinity app to pair and control cameras and any smart home devices.

Does Comcast install these devices?
For customers who subscribe to Self Protection, we do not currently install these devices. For device-specific installation instructions, contact the manufacturer. Xfinity customers who would like assistance with installing these devices may contact HelloTech to schedule an appointment.
