Xfinity Mobile’s latest price plan includes unlimited calls and texts to and from Mexico and Canada, and unlimited data when traveling to those countries when you choose an unlimited data option.
For By the Gig data customers and customers on all prior Unlimited plans:
- Unlimited calls and texts to Mexico and Canada from the U.S. are available for $10 per month per line.
- Data use while traveling abroad is available, you can learn more about global calling options here.
These benefits are only available on phone lines. Using data on tablets and smartwatches will result in usage charges for the paired line.

With the Premium Unlimited or Unlimited data options
On our latest price plans, unlimited calls, texts, and data between the United States and Mexico and Canada are included for all customers with the Unlimited or Premium Unlimited data options. You don’t need to do anything; it is automatically part of your plan.
You can also use data while traveling to Mexico and Canada. With Premium Unlimited and Unlimited data plans, you receive the Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass, which includes up to 5 GB of high-speed data and then unlimited data at up to 3 Mbps for the remainder of your billing cycle. 3 Mbps speeds are good for things like email and internet browsing.
Available data speeds are subject to availability in the location you are using your phone.
With the By the Gig data option and prior price plans
With By the Gig data, and with any data option on our previous price plans, you can add a Mexico and Canada Call Pass for $10 per month per line by following the steps below. This lets you place unlimited calls and texts to Mexico and Canada.

Activating the Mexico and Canada Call Pass
With the Xfinity app
To activate the Mexico and Canada Call Pass using the Xfinity app:
- Sign in to the Xfinity app using the Primary user’s Xfinity ID and password.
- From the Services tab, select Mobile lines and data usage located within the Mobile services card.
- Once the customer is on the Xfinity Mobile landing page, select the phone line you’d like to turn the feature on.
- Once you’re on the Line details screen, scroll to the Plan Features category, then select Get Call Pass to Mexico and Canada and follow the prompts.
- You may be required to sign in again.
- You'll see a confirmation screen once you’ve successfully added the Mexico and Canada Call Pass.

To activate the Mexico and Canada Call Pass using your Xfinity Mobile account on xfinity.com:
- Log in to your Xfinity Mobile account.
- Go to any line's Data Details.
- Add it from there.

Here are a few things to be aware of if you add the Mexico and Canada Call Pass on one or more lines:
- The $10 per month charge will recur until you choose to remove the Call Pass.
- When you remove it, it remains active for the rest of your current billing cycle.
- At the start of the next billing cycle, it becomes inactive.
- When it gets removed, you will go back to paying a per minute rate for your calls to Mexico and Canada.
- Your Call Pass comes with you if you switch between data plans.
Upgrade to the latest plan
Upgrade to the latest price plan in the Xfinity app:
- Download or open the Xfinity app.
- Sign in to your account using the Primary user’s Xfinity ID and password.
- From the Services tab, select Mobile lines and data usage located within the Mobile services card.
- If you are not on the newest plan, there will be a link that gives more details about it. Click Explore the new plan to learn more. If you are on the latest plan this won’t be available.
- You may be required to sign in again.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to continue upgrading to the latest plan.
