If you are the Primary user or account holder on an Xfinity account, you can change a password on a secondary user's account. The secondary user could be a Manager, Member, or Viewer on your Xfinity account.
You may need to change their password if they don’t have a mobile number or non-Xfinity email address listed on the account.
Change the password on secondary accounts
To change the password on a secondary user account:
- Sign in to xfinity.com as the Primary user.
- Choose the Account icon
and then Account and Identity.
- Scroll to view the users on the account.
- Choose the user whose password you want to change.
- Scroll down to the Xfinity ID section and choose Change Password.
- You will be asked to verify your identity before changing the password. You can choose one of these ways:
- Tap a notification in the Xfinity app.
- Enter a code sent through email or text.
- Confirm you are the one trying to change the password by tapping the notification in the Xfinity app or entering the code.
- Enter a new password in the New password field. Enter the same password again in the Confirm new password field and choose Save.
- After the password is changed, the secondary user should log in to their account to add a mobile number or non-Xfinity email address so they can reset their password in the future.
