Follow these helpful tips to create a stronger password.
What to keep in mind
- Do not use something that is easy to guess: A password based on a name, birthday, Social Security number, or similar information is not safe.
- Avoid common words: Criminals have programs that guess passwords based on common words, including words spelled backwards, incorrectly, and with symbols instead of letters (e.g., p@ssword).
- Longer is better: Use a password that has at least eight characters and up to 128 characters.
- Use the entire keyboard: Use numbers, letters (upper and lowercase), and symbols for a one-of-a-kind, safe password.
- Make sure you can reset your password: Regularly check that your mobile phone number and/or personal (non-Comcast) email address are up to date and verified.
