Here are six trending Prime Originals to catch up on through Prime Video:

1. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

Fans of Gilmore Girls will appreciate the fast-paced nature of this Emmy award-winning Prime Original, which deals out mile-a-minute zingers and tons of witty dialogue like the beloved series from writer-director Amy Sherman-Palladino before it. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel gives the spotlight to a motormouth heroine who's as easy to root for as she is hard to keep up with. It's one of the best shows on Prime Video — a period piece that fuses fun with feminism, as the titular character struggles to make it on her own in 1950s New York.

2. Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan

Tom Clancy’s iconic spy thriller gets a modern update for the small screen and features John Krasinski in the titular role. Krasinski plays Ryan, a low-level CIA analyst turned top-level exec tasked with preventing international crime. The first season was so popular that a second was greenlighted during production of the first – so now's the time to catch up on each heart-pounding, palm-sweating episode from the first season.

3. Homecoming

Based on the popular podcast of the same name, Homecoming is a psychological thriller starring Julia Roberts. Roberts’ role as Heidi Bergman is a caseworker at Homecoming, a facility helping soldiers transition to civilian life. Years later, she’s started a new life when a Department of Defense auditor inquires why she left Homecoming. Bergman quickly realizes that the true purpose of the facility had been kept from her all along. Produced and directed by the creator of Mr. Robot, Sam Esmail, Homecoming has already garnered critical praise with its recent debut.

4. The Man in the High Castle

As fans of shows ranging from Doctor Who to the Twilight Zone can attest, stories about dystopian environments are nothing new. The twist with The Man in the High Castle is that it explores life in 1960’s America but in a world in which the Axis Powers won World War II. What at first seems like an inconceivable premise quickly becomes an engrossing thrill ride; one whose debut season garnered an impressive 95% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

5. The Romanoffs

Glitz and glamour meet greed in this new masterpiece from Matthew Weiner, whose show Mad Men arguably set the stage for a renaissance in contemporary television dramas. This eight-episode anthology covers distinct individuals from around the world who claim to be descendants of the eponymous Russian royal family. Each film-length episode is rolling out one at a time, rather than all at once. The result invites viewers to savor each as a standalone work of art (perhaps over a glass of bubbly?).

6. Sneaky Pete

If Sneaky Pete teaches us anything, it's that Bryan Cranston can do no wrong in his imaginative interpretations of other people's wrongdoings. The Breaking Bad alum co-created this crime drama, which follows a con man (played by the highly talented Giovanni Ribisi) who assumes the identity of “Pete,” his former prison cellmate. A gripping, suspenseful, and deft portrayal of intrigue and deceit woven seamlessly with a touch of humor and warm family dynamics make this drama a can’t-miss.

Family dramedies, dystopian sci-fi, intimate depictions of criminal masterminds — Prime Video makes it easy to find something for everyone to watch, and now you can watch it all seamlessly on your home’s big screen with Xfinity X1.
