Error codes and messages

Error code Error message Root cause
EOS001 The batteries in your remote control are running low. Please replace them.

The batteries need to be replaced.

Note: Only AAA alkaline batteries can be used.

  1. Slide the back cover downwards to remove it.
  2. Replace all batteries at the same time.
  3. Look at the +/- symbols to ensure the batteries are put in the right way.
  4. Replace the back cover.
  5. Press the Home button to make sure the remote is working.
EOS002 Please wait for your program to load.

This notification is often triggered due to bandwidth issues.

You’ll need to ensure that the WiFi signal strength is sufficiently strong. You can do so by trying other devices in the home:

  • Check if your internet functions correctly on other devices and through the broadband connection at home, including rebooting your hub/router.
  • If applicable, attempt to connect using an Ethernet cable.
    • Reset your network settings and select the option to connect with an Ethernet cable.
  • Try switching to another channel.
  • Restart the device — this may help by reconnecting to the network.
EOS003 Please wait for your program to load. This will be resolved in seven seconds if possible. If not, follow the same troubleshooting steps as outlined in EOS002.
EOS018 Sorry, pause and rewind aren’t available on this channel. Pause/rewind aren’t available or allowed for the content being streamed. Check that you have a valid subscription for the content.
EOS006 There is a technical fault with this channel. Please try again later
  • Try changing the channel — the problem may be channel-specific, or it may resolve by retuning.
  • If the error message is on all channels, try to reboot your box by unplugging and replugging.
  • If it’s still not working:
    • Turn off the hub/router from the power source and wait 10 seconds.
    • Turn the hub/router back on and wait until it’s connected back to the internet.
    • If playback still isn't working, reset to the factory settings.
      • Note: You'll lose your settings, playlist, and preferences after performing a factory reset.
EOS007 There is a technical fault. Please try again later. Follow the same troubleshooting steps as outlined in EOS006.
EOS012 There is a technical fault. Please try again later. Follow the same troubleshooting steps as outlined in EOS006.
EOS011 There is a technical fault with this program. Please try again later. Follow the same troubleshooting steps as outlined in EOS006.
EOS020 There is a technical fault with this program. Please try again later. Follow the same troubleshooting steps as outlined in EOS006.
EOS010 The content you have selected cannot be played on this device.
  1. Press Home and go to Settings.
  2. Select Picture and Sound.
  3. Change to 2160p and either select 8-bit, 10-bit (needed for HDR), or auto-select the option and confirm the changes.
    • If the above options aren't available, it’s because the device is not UHD-capable.
EOS014 To watch this, you need a UHD TV and have your picture resolution set to [ ]. To set up now, press [ ]. Follow the same troubleshooting steps as outlined in EOS010.
EOS036 Sorry, there are currently no programs of this type available. The content isn't available. This isn't an error; no device troubleshooting is needed.
EOS019 Sorry, this app is currently unavailable. Please try again later.
  • Put the device in standby by pressing the Standby button.
  • Turn off the device from the power source.
  • Turn on the device from the power source.
    • When it’s ready, press the Home button on the remote control.
EOS009 Sorry, because of a technical issue, you’re currently experiencing a limited service. Please be assured that we’re working hard to fix the problem. Please contact us for assistance.
EOS013 Loading. Please try again in a few minutes.
  • Put the device in standby by pressing the Standby button.
  • Turn off the device from the power source.
  • Unplug the router and wait 10 seconds.
  • Turn the hub/router back on and wait until connected to the internet.
  • Turn on the device from the power source, and when it’s ready, press the Home button on the remote control.
  • If it's still not working, reset to the factory settings.
EOS015 Sorry, this item is currently unavailable. Please try again later. Follow the same troubleshooting steps as outlined in EOS013.
EOS022 Your picture resolution has been automatically reset to default because a change in your setup has been detected. To change your picture resolution, go to Settings > Setup > Audio visual. Follow the same troubleshooting steps as outlined in EOS010.
EOS004 No signal detected on [‘PORT’]. Check your device is properly plugged in and switched on. Still having trouble? Connect to HDMI 3 input and switch to older device compatibility in Settings > Connected devices > HDMI inputs. If the on-screen steps don’t work, the device might not be compatible. Try the device on another TV/monitor.
EOS00S No signal detected on [‘PORT’]. Check your device is properly plugged in and switched on. If the on-screen steps don't work, the device might not be compatible. Try the device on another TV/monitor.
EOS027 To use this device as your TV’s external speaker, plug it into the HDMI 2 input. (Where the ‘eARC’ label is.) Follow the same troubleshooting steps as outlined in EOS019.
EOS008 HDCP unauthorized. Switch off your TV at the socket for at least one minute, then switch it back on. Reset your device as instructed.
No Code A PIN is required to watch this. The device has had the PIN incorrectly entered once. Make sure the correct PIN is used.
