How to Watch Soccer this Summer

For soccer fans, this summer will be one to remember. National teams from around the globe will descend on North America for more than five weeks of matches in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Running from June 11 through July 19, 48 teams will compete in 104 matches in 16 cities. With so many matches to follow, it helps to know where to tune in. 

Whether you’re watching at home with family, hosting watch parties with friends, or catching a match on your phone during your lunch break, here’s a look at what you need to know about watching soccer this summer.

  • U.S. Opening Match: USA vs. Paraguay – June 12, SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles

  • Group Stage: June 11–27 
  • Round of 32: June 28–July 3 
  • Round of 16: July 4–7

  • Bronze Final: July 18 – Miami

Where to watch: Broadcast and streaming options 

All 104 matches will be broadcast live in the United States. Here’s the breakdown of where to watch. 

English-language coverage 

FOX Sports will exclusively broadcast English-language matches across two networks—FOX and FS1 (FOX Sports 1). Matches will also livestream via the FOX One app.  

  • Fox: 70 matches, including all knockout-round games from the Round of 16 onward 
  • FS1: All 34 group stage matches 
  • FOX One / FOX Sports apps: All 104 matches will be available for live streaming with a cable subscription or standalone FOX One account 

FOX has also confirmed 40 matches will air during U.S. primetime hours on FOX and FS1, more than any previous soccer tournament.  

Spanish-language coverage 

NBCUniversal will deliver the most extensive Spanish-language presentation in U.S. broadcast history, with over 700 hours of programming set to air across two networks, Telemundo and Universo. The same coverage will also livestream on Peacock.  

  • Telemundo: 92 matches broadcast over-the-air 
  • Universo: 12 group stage matches 
  • Peacock: All 104 matches will stream live with a Peacock Premium or Premium Plus subscription

With Xfinity TV, matches will also be available to watch with Multiview. Viewers can add up to four live events to watch at once on a single screen with Create Your Own Multiview, a great option for the early rounds when multiple matches are taking place at the same time. Following other sports or events? Viewers can select up to four channels airing any live sports available to watch in your channel to watch on one screen, making it easy to watch soccer matches while also keeping up with other sports, like MLB games, PGA TOUR golf, and more. Get started by saying “Multiview” into your Xfinity voice remote.  

Create Your Own Multiview is available for Xfinity members who have a 4K-compatible TV box. If your TV box is not 4K-compatible, you can upgrade to a 4K TV box for free

Following events with Xfinity Sports Zone app 

Built directly into your X1 interface, the Xfinity Sports Zone app makes it easy to keep up with all the latest news and action. Viewers can track scores, stats, and performance breakdowns of favorite teams or players. Features like multi-lingual voice search, the ability to set favorite teams and receive match start notifications, and on-demand access to highlights, condensed games, and full replays allow viewers to enjoy a more personalized, interactive viewing experience. 

Get started by saying “soccer” or “muéstrame fútbol” into the bilingual Xfinity voice remote. Or dive deeper into team-specific content by making requests like “U.S. soccer team schedule” or “Mexico soccer team stats.”
