Pass It On: Xfinity Hid Some Easter Eggs for Halloween & the Holidays
Our engineers love to surprise our customers with hidden voice commands, also known as Easter Eggs. With these secret utterances, you and your family can have some fun for Halloween and the holidays.
For example, if you’re an Xfinity Home customer and you have the Xfinity X1 voice remote as well as connected lights from LiFX or Phillips Hue, you can say “Xfinity Home, Happy Halloween” or “Xfinity Home, Trick or Treat” and you’ll turn the color of your lightbulbs orange.
Also, in anticipation of The Grinch movie, coming out on November 9th, you can say, “Xfinity Home, the Grinch” or, “Xfinity Home, Grinch is Home” and you’ll turn the color of your lights green.
Finally, Xfinity Home customers with the Xfinity Camera can say, “Xfinity Home, where is the Grinch?” into their X1 voice remote. On the lower half of your TV screen, you’ll see recent still images captured by the camera.
