Lock and Unlock Your August Smart Lock from the XFINITY Home App for Mobile Devices

Learn how to use the XFINITY Home app for mobile devices to control your August Smart Lock.

What You'll Need
  • XFINITY Home - Secure or XFINITY Home - Automation
  • An Apple or Android mobile device
  • Access to the XFINITY Home app for mobile devices
  • Your XFINITY username and password
  • An August Smart Door Lock installed and operating according to the manufacturer's instructions, and connected to your XFINITY Home system

Locking and Unlocking Your August Smart Lock

  1. Sign into the XFINITY Home app for mobile devices (see Sign Into Your XFINITY Home Subscriber Portal or XFINITY Home App for Mobile Devices).
  2. On the Overview screen, scroll down to the Door Lock tile. The lock name is the name that you gave your lock when you created your August account.

    Do You Have Multiple Locks? If you have multiple door locks, including other August Smart Locks or XFINITY Home Kwikset Door Locks, make sure to use specific, distinct names to avoid unlocking the wrong door.

  3. The tile shows the current status of the door lock.
  • To lock the door, swipe left across the status bar.
  • To unlock the door, swipe right across the status bar.
That's it! You can now lock and unlock your August Smart Lock using the XFINITY Home app for mobile devices.
