What are the Xfinity Help and Support Forums?
The forums are designed to build a positive and thriving peer to peer help community, discussing a variety of service topics and issues. Anyone is welcome to read the content posted in the Xfinity Help and Support Forums, but only Xfinity customers with an active Xfinity login can post and reply to messages there.In June 2023, the Xfinity Help and Support Forums will celebrate 20 years as an active support tool! Getting started
Before you can start posting in the Xfinity Help and Support Forums, you will need to activate your Xfinity account and create an Xfinity Forum Username.To activate your Xfinity account
- Please use our lookup tool to create, find or recover your Xfinity ID.
- You'll need to provide your account number or your date of birth and the last four digits of your Social Security number (SSN).
- This allows us to verify your identity.
- Note: If you're an Xfinity Internet customer accessing the tool from your home, you'll only be prompted for the phone number associated with your account.

To create the Xfinity Forum username
- Go to forums.xfinity.com.
- Click the Sign in or Register link at the top right corner of the page.
- Enter your Xfinity ID, password and click Sign In.
- Complete your Forum Profile by entering your forum Username.
- Your account should now be active!
- You can fill out your profile by clicking on your forum Avatar image and choosing View Profile from the drop-down menu.
Policy and guidelines
Membership within Xfinity Help and Support Forums is both a privilege and a responsibility. Becoming a registered member of the Xfinity Help and Support Forums means agreeing to abide by a few simple rules and guidelines.- Be polite — Positive, constructive comments and questions that are on topic will help maintain a positive spirit on these forums.
- Use a descriptive topic subject — This will ensure that others who can help will see your post more easily and will improve your chances of receiving a response.
- Ask questions — We're here to help, so please ask away!
- Stay on topic — If you have a suggestion or comment that is on a different topic, please start a new thread within the appropriate forum.
- Be comprehensive — Include as much information to describe your question or issue as possible.
- Report abuse — The Report Abuse to Moderator function is available on each post to alert an administrator for any trolling or inflammatory posts.
- Practice good netiquette — Respecting others (e.g., not typing in all caps, avoiding flame wars, etc.) and keeping posts civil at all times can help make the community safe and fun for everyone!
