You might qualify for a temporary service plan if you have a past-due balance. This plan lets you stay connected to Xfinity Internet and Voice, pay a lower monthly rate, and pause other services for 90 days. If you're eligible, you'll see the plan option when you sign in at xfinity.com.
Setting up a temporary service plan
When you log in to your account, you might see a message about flexible payments. Follow these steps to explore your options:
- Select Chat for options to open Xfinity Assistant.
- Select Billing and payments.
- Type “Explore flexible payment options."
- If you're eligible, Xfinity Assistant will show your options.
- If a temporary service plan is available, select it to continue.
- Pick the service plan you want.
- If you have a past-due balance, you’ll need to make a payment or sign up for more flexible payment options first.
- You can make a minimum $50 payment and set up a 12-month installment plan for the rest of your past-due balance.
- A new tab may open. Do not close the original tab. You will need to return to it after making a payment.
After you make your payment, you’ll see a message confirming your temporary service. You’ll also get a confirmation email. Your temporary service plan may take up to two days to start.
