Return for refund or hardware warranty replacement
To initiate a return for refund or hardware warranty replacement, for either the Xfinity WiFi Extenders or Storm-Ready WiFi and Battery Backup, complete this online form. Once you've completed the form, you'll receive an email confirmation with next steps on how to return the equipment, as well as details on how your refund or hardware warranty replacement will be processed.
Xfinity WiFi Extenders and Storm-Ready WiFi and Battery Backup are subject to the Comcast 30-day money back guarantee and may be returned for a full refund within 30 days of original purchase date. Additionally, Xfinity WiFi Extenders and Storm-Ready WiFi and Battery Backup are subject to a limited warranty and may be replaced within one year from the date of purchase if the issue with the device is covered under the hardware warranty.
Notes:
- WiFi Boost Pods, previously known as xFi Pods, will now be referred to as WiFi Extenders.
- Storm-Ready WiFi sales will be discontinued as of May 28, 2025. The WiFi Extender and network backup functionalities previously associated with Storm-Ready WiFi are now integrated with Xfinity Pro, with the equipment being rebranded to Pro WiFi Extender.
- Storm-Ready WiFi and Battery Backup must be returned together to receive a refund or replacement.
- Older Xfinity WiFi Extenders (first generation) are no longer under warranty and can't be exchanged for the new model (second generation). We’ll continue providing support to customers who own them; however, these devices are no longer eligible for warranty exchange.
