If your Xfinity Home touchscreen is not connected to your in-home WiFi, some features may not work. Follow these steps to reconnect your touchscreen and restore service quickly.
Reconnect your touchscreen to WiFi
When your touchscreen loses connection, you will see an alert on the screen. You can also find this alert in the Notification Center.
Follow these steps:
- Tap Go to WiFi Settings.
- Enter your 4-digit Primary Keypad Code.
- The touchscreen will search for available WiFi networks.
- Select your WiFi network name. Then, tap Next.
- If you don’t see your network:
- Make sure your router or gateway is plugged in and turned on.
- If your network is hidden, tap Network Not Found. Then, enter the network name.
- If your network is greyed out:
- Check your router setting. Make sure it uses WPA/WPA2 or AES security.
- If you don’t see your network:
- Enter your WiFi password. Then, tap Next.
- When connected, your Home screen will return.
If you see “Unable to join Wi-Fi,” try again or check your network settings.
If you don’t see a message but your touchscreen is not connected to the internet, go to Fix an offline Xfinity Home touchscreen.
