If you want to change your data option, it's no problem. You have the flexibility to switch between Xfinity Mobile data options online or in our app, and we've got great choices.
Note: Starting April 15, 2025, the By the Gig data plan will only be available through our assisted sales and support channels. If you're already on this plan, don't worry—nothing changes for you! You'll still be able to manage your By the Gig lines via the Xfinity app or online at Xfinity.com/mobile.
However, if you decide to remove your By the Gig line(s) or upgrade to an Unlimited data plan, you'll need to contact us to switch back to By the Gig.
Change your data plan
Here's how to switch between data options using your Xfinity Mobile account online:
- Go to Activity > My Data.
- Select a line.
- Scroll to Data Options and select Switch to Unlimited or Manage unlimited
- Select your plan.
- Select Switch Now.
Here's how to between data options using the Xfinity app.
- Sign in to the Xfinity app.
- Select the Services tab.
- Select the Mobile lines and data usage located within the Mobile services card.
- Select a line.
- Scroll to Data Management, under your current plan select Switch to Unlimited or Change your Unlimited option any time and follow the prompts to upgrade your service.
- You may be required to sign in again.
You'll be charged one price for all the data used by that line at the end of the month, based on which unlimited data option you choose. The more lines you have, the less you'll pay per line per month.
To get multi-line Unlimited pricing, you’ll need to be on our latest plan. Upgrade your plan by heading to My Account online or the Xfinity app.
