If you already have a smartwatch or just got a new one, you will need to pair it to an active line on your Xfinity Mobile account to use it.
Setting it up can take about 30 minutes.
Here’s what’s needed to get started:
- A watch capable of cellular data.
- Make sure your devices are at least 50% charged.
- An active Xfinity Mobile phone with access to either cellular data or WiFi.
- Make sure your phone has Bluetooth and WiFi turned on.
- Make sure your devices have the latest operating system.
- You may need either your Apple ID, Samsung ID, and/or your Google ID and password.
- And you’ll also need your primary Xfinity ID and password.
The time it takes depends on your watch and phone. Follow the steps below to get started.
Note: You can set up Xfinity Mobile Care (XMC) for your smartwatch within 30 days of activation or during an open enrollment period. For more details, review more about XMC.
Apple devices
iPhone and smartwatch compatibility
Before you start, make sure you have the latest software on your phone and your smartwatch. Be sure your devices meet these requirements:
- An iPhone 11 or newer with iOS 26 or later.
- An Apple Watch Series 6, Apple Watch SE 2nd Gen, Ultra, or Ultra 2 or newer with watch OS26 or later.
Note: Family Setup isn't supported by Xfinity Mobile.
Step 1: Pair your watch with your iPhone
- Keep your Apple Watch and iPhone near each other during the pairing process.
- Wait for the pairing screen to pop up on your phone. Tap Continue.
- Or open the Watch app and tap Pair New Watch.
- Tap Set Up for Myself.
- Center your iPhone over the pairing animation on the watch until the two devices are paired.
- Tap Set Up Apple Watch or Restore from Backup if you’ve used it before.
- If asked, sign in with your Apple ID and password.
- Follow the on-screen steps to finish setup.
Notes:
- If your phone has the latest iOS installed and pairing doesn’t work, restart both devices and try again.
- Perform any available software updates after the iPhone and Apple Watch are paired.

Step 2: Apple Watch cellular activation
- Follow these steps after you have paired your devices. In the Watch app on your iPhone, tap your watch.
- Tap Cellular, then Set Up Cellular.
- Sign in with your primary Xfinity ID and password.
- Tap Get started.
- Review the terms and conditions for your Apple Watch plan and tap Next to continue.
- Update your emergency address.
- Tap Save Address and then Confirm Address.
- Tap Complete Activation.
- This may take a few minutes, stay on the screen until it's done.
Replacing your old watch on your iPhone
Before you get started, follow Step 1: Pair your watch with your iPhone above to pair your new watch with your iPhone.
- In the Watch app, tap Cellular, then Set Up Cellular.
- Sign in with your primary Xfinity ID and password.
- Tap Get started.
- Tap Replace an Existing Device.
- Confirm the device you want to replace, then tap Replace.
- Update your emergency address.
- Tap Save Address and then Confirm Address.
- Tap Continue to confirm your old watch was replaced.
- Continue to Step 2: Apple Watch cellular activation.
Note: If you are having issues, note the error messages on the screen or take a screenshot before contacting us.
If you get this error: "Uh-oh! Something went wrong. We ran into a problem during the activation process and your information was not saved. Please restart activation by following the steps below. If this problem persists, contact customer support."
- Unpair the watch from the device using the Watch app.
- After the watch is unpaired, start the process again. Set it up as new watch.
- You can use a previous backup from the cloud after activation.
- When you get to cellular setup page, skip this and let the watch complete pairing.
- Turn off the phone for up to 90 minutes. This forces the watch onto the network.
- If within the 90 minutes you start getting notifications on the watch, you can turn the phone back on.
Android devices
Samsung Galaxy smartwatch and phone compatibility
Before you start, make sure you have the latest software on your phone and your smartwatch. Be sure your devices meet these requirements:
- Android 6.0 or newer
- RAM 1.5 GB or higher
- Bluetooth setting turned on
- Google account set up by user
- Galaxy Wearable app downloaded
- Galaxy Watch4 or higher
Notes:
- Galaxy Watch4 and later aren't compatible with iPhones.
- Review the Samsung Support site for current device eligibility.
Step 1: Pair your Samsung devices
- Keep your watch and phone near each other during the pairing process.
- Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone.
- If you don’t have it, go to the Play Store, search for Galaxy Wearable, and install it.
- Tap Start in the app.
- If asked about location access, choose While using the app or Only this time.
- Tap the Galaxy Watch you’d like to pair in the middle of the screen.
- A number will show on both the phone and watch. Tap Confirm if they match.
- If the codes do not match, restart your watch and try again.
- You'll be asked to sign in to your Samsung account.
- You can skip this step for now.
- Tap Continue to review the Google terms and conditions and then tap I Agree.
- Your phone will show, "Getting your watch ready…"
- This will take a few moments to complete.
- You might be asked to sign in to your Google account with your ID and password.
Notes:
- If you're having issues pairing your watch to a phone, make sure the Galaxy Wearable app is up to date.
- You may need to reset the app and restart your watch. If you continue to have issues, contact Samsung Support.

Step 2: Samsung smartwatch cellular activation
- Follow these steps after you have paired your devices.
- In the Galaxy Wearable app tap Watch Settings.
- Tap Mobile plans.
- The app will start scanning for an eligible LTE network.
- Tap Next to start setting up a mobile network for your watch.
- Sign in with your primary Xfinity ID and password.
- Tap Get started.
- Review the terms and conditions for your Samsung watch plan and tap Next to continue.
- Update your emergency address.
- Tap Save Address and then Confirm Address.
- Tap Complete Activation.
- Tap Use plan to confirm you want to use your Xfinity Mobile plan on the watch.
- This may take a few minutes, stay on the screen until its done.
Replacing your old smartwatch on your Samsung phone
- Before you get started, follow Step 1: Pair your Samsung devices above to pair your new watch with your phone.
- In the Galaxy Wearable app tap Watch Settings.
- Tap Mobile plans.
- Sign in with your primary Xfinity ID and password.
- Tap Get started.
- Tap Replace an Existing Device.
- Confirm the device you want to replace, then tap Replace.
- Update your emergency address.
- Tap Save Address and then Confirm Address.
- Tap Continue to confirm your old watch was replaced.
- Continue to Step 2: Samsung Smartwatch cellular activation.

Google Pixel smartwatch and phone compatibility
Before you start, make sure you have the latest software on your Android phone and your smartwatch. Be sure your devices meet these requirements:
- Android 8.0 or newer
- Bluetooth and Location settings turned on
- Phone must be connected to the internet through WiFi or LTE
- Google account set up by user
- Google Pixel Watch app downloaded
- Google Pixel Watch and higher
- Google Pixel smartwatch battery fully charged
Notes:
- Google Pixel Watches aren't compatible with iPhones.
- You can review the Google Support site for current device eligibility.
Step 1: Pair your Pixel devices
- Keep your watch and phone near each other during the pairing process.
- Open the Google Pixel Watch app on your phone.
- If you don’t have it go to the Play Store, search for Google Pixel Watch, and then install it.
- If asked to allow the Google Pixel Watch app to access the device’s location, select either While using the app or Only this time.
- The screen should tell you pairing can begin.
- Tap the Pixel watch you’d like to pair.
- The app will let you know when pairing starts.
- A number will show on both the phone and watch. Tap Pair if they match.
- If the codes do not match, restart your watch and try again.
- If the codes still don't match, go to Fix Pixel Watch setup and phone pairing issues.
- You may be asked to sign in to your Google account to have access to certain features.
- Follow the on-screen steps in the Google Pixel Watch app to finish setting up your Pixel Watch.
- Once your devices are paired and connected, you will see Connected in the Google Pixel Watch app.
- If you see Disconnected, this means the pairing was unsuccessful.

- If you're having issues pairing your watch to a phone, make sure the Google Pixel Watch app is up to date.
- You may need to reset the app and restart your watch.

Replacing your old smartwatch on your Pixel phone
- Before you get started, follow Step 1: Pair your Pixel devices above to pair your new watch with your phone.
- On your Android device, open the Google Pixel Watch app.
- Scroll up then tap Mobile network and then Set up or buy a plan.
- Tap Connect to Xfinity Mobile.
- Tap Replace an existing device if you're replacing your watch.
- Confirm the device you want to replace, then tap Replace.
- Update your emergency address.
- Tap Save Address and then Confirm Address.
- Tap Continue to confirm your old watch was replaced.
- Continue to Step 2: Google Pixel smartwatch cellular activation.
