How are Xfinity Mobile Care Plus and Xfinity Mobile Care different?
Xfinity Mobile Care Plus device protection is included for members who have at least one phone on our Mobile Plus plan. It covers repairs, replacements, and unlimited tech support for phone lines on Mobile Plus and any eligible tablets and watches connected to your account. Your devices are covered whether you purchased them from Xfinity or another retailer.

Members who are not on our Mobile Plus plan can purchase Xfinity Mobile Care as an add-on, from $9-19/mo per device.

How do I file a claim?
If your device is damaged, malfunctioning, lost, or stolen, use the Xfinity Mobile Care app to file your claim 24/7, or visit fastclaim.com/xfinitymobile. You can also call 1-855-884-9771.

If your device is lost or stolen, be sure to also contact Xfinity through chat to suspend your service and protect yourself against unauthorized use.

Once your claim is approved, you'll receive repair or replacement options. Options may include service and technical support through an authorized repair center or an advanced exchange replacement by mail.
What are the claim limits?

Xfinity Mobile Care Plus allows you to make unlimited claims across all of your covered devices (up to $5k value per device in a 12-month period).

 

Xfinity Mobile Care allows you to make up to three covered accidental damage, loss and theft claims within a rolling 12-month period based on the date of first repair/replacement. Maximum coverage per claim is the purchase price or replacement value of the covered device (whichever is lower) less any applicable service fee/deductible.

 

For either option, there’s no limit to covered mechanical or electrical failure claims.

When does my coverage begin?

With Xfinity Mobile Care Plus, all coverage begins day 1 when you purchase a device new from Xfinity. For all other devices, your accidental damage and loss coverage will begin on day 31.

 

With Xfinity Mobile Care, coverage begins day 1 when you purchase a device new from Xfinity. For all other devices, coverage also starts day 1 but additional documentation may be required for identification for some claim types.

Is device protection available for all devices? What isn’t covered?

Device protection is available for Apple and Android smartphone, tablet, and smartwatch devices associated with active lines of Xfinity Mobile service. If you deactivate your line of service, your device is no longer covered by Xfinity Mobile Care Plus or Xfinity Mobile Care.

 

Both device protection plans cover your device, standard battery, standard charger, and SIM (if applicable to your device). Accessories included in the original device packaging, such as a stylus pen, are covered in the event of an incident simultaneously affecting both the device and the accessory.

 

Losses caused by or resulting from abuse; misuse; service performed by anyone not authorized by Assurant; intentional or cosmetic damage; pre-existing conditions; manufacturer’s recall; certain acts of God; consequential damages; claims as a result of setup, installation, or data restoration; and losses covered under a manufacturer’s warranty. Refer to device protection coverage documents for a full list of exclusions. Is Xfinity Mobile Care considered cell phone insurance?
Xfinity Mobile Care Plus and Xfinity Mobile Care are device protection plans that consist of insurance coverage and a service contract. They cover device damage, malfunction, loss, theft, and more, plus they connect you with technical support to solve issues and optimize your device performance.
Does Xfinity Mobile Care include AppleCare or AppleCare+?
Xfinity Mobile Care Plus and Xfinity Mobile Care do not include AppleCare or AppleCare+, but they offer similar coverage. AppleCare+ is available separately at time of purchase for Apple products sold by Xfinity.
