Ways to Activate Your Self Installation Kit Devices

You can activate your XFINITY services through a click of the mouse, by a simple phone call or even through your TV! Once you have set up and connected all your devices, you have three options for activating your services: All Self Installation Kits include installation and activation information. You can find this in your XFINITY folder.

Activate Your Equipment Online

  1. Go online to register.xfinity.com to be connected to the XFINITY Activation Web page. (Go to www.xfinitymobile.com/activate for your XFINITY Mobile device.)
    • Internet Essentials customers: You will automatically be connected to this page once you connect and power on your modem or Wireless Gateway.
    • Customers who have purchased and own your modem device (non-Comcast leased): You will automatically be directed to this page upon connection of your device at home. For more details, see about installing and activating your purchased modem with XFINITY service.
    • If you are activating an XFINITY xFi Gateway, models Arris 1682G, Cisco 3941T or Arris TG3482G, see how to activate your XFINITY xFi Gateway for more information.
  2. While on the XFINITY Activation Web page, verify your identity using your account number and your phone number.
    • You can locate your account number on your billing statement, on your Activation Card within your Self Installation Kit or within your email confirmation (if applicable).
  3. Complete activation by following the activation screens.

Activate Your Equipment Over the Phone

  1. Call 1-855-OK-BEGIN (1-855-652-3446).
  2. While on the line for telephone activation, you will need:
    • The phone number associated with your account.
    • The last four digits of the equipment serial number(s).
    • The location of the equipment (living room, bedroom, etc.).
