Adjust Your Video Display Using the X1 On-Screen Guide

In this article, you can learn how to manage your video display using the XFINITY X1 On-Screen Guide.

Video Display

To access Device Settings:
  1. Press the xfinity button on your remote.
  2. Use the left arrow button or right arrow button to highlight Settings (the gear icon). Press OK.
    X1 Menu displays.  The Settings option is the last option in the horizontal row.
     
  3. Use the down arrow button to highlight Device Settings. Press OK.
    On the Settings screen, the Device Settings option is the second option from the top.  It reads "Device Settings: Hardware setting including closed captioning, screen display, and audio."
     
  4. Use the down arrow button to highlight Video Display. Press OK.
    On the Device Settings screen, the Video Display option is the second option from the top.  It reads "Video Display: Modify screen settings such as zoom and video output resolution."

     
  5. The Zoom option is automatically highlighted.  Press OK to toggle between None and Full.
    On the Video Display screen, the Zoom option is the first available option.  It will display a value of None or Full.

    After pressing OK, the Zoom option changes from None to Full.
    (To skip setting Video Output Resolution, press Exit.)
  6. Use the down arrow button to highlight Video Output Resolution. Press OK.
    On the Video Display screen, Video Output Resolution is the second option from the top.  In this example the resolution is currently set to 16:9, 1080p30 HD.
     
  7. Use the up arrow or down arrow button to select your desired resolution. Press OK.
    The Video Output Resolution screen with the following available options: 4:3, 480p SD; 16:9, 720p HD; 16:9, 1080i HD; 16:9, 1080p30 HD; 16:9, 1080p60 HD.
     
  8. To keep the selected resolution, use the right arrow button to highlight Yes.  Press OK.
    Video Output change confirmation message: "Video Output: Do you want to keep this resolution?"  Beneath the message, the "No" option is on the left and the "Yes" option is on the right.
     
  9. When finished, press Exit.
