Screen saver settings for your X1 TV Box

Learn how to set your screen saver for Xfinity X1 using the On-Screen Guide.

Note: The screen saver can't be disabled, but it won't appear while the Pandora app is open and streaming music.

Adjust when your screen saver appears

To access Device Settings:

1. Press the xfinity button on the remote.
2. Highlight Settings (the gear icon) and press OK.
   
3. Use the down arrow on the remote to highlight Device Settings and press OK.
   
4. Use the down arrow on the remote to highlight Screen Saver and press OK.
   
5. Highlight Screen Saver Starts After and press OK.
   • Please note that you can preview your new screensaver by selecting Screen Saver Preview.
6. Use the up arrow or down arrow button to highlight when the screen saver will start — 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 5 hours, or 10 hours. Press OK.
   
   
   • Notes:
     • Selecting 10 hours will automatically turn off Power Saver mode. Turning Power Saver off also sets the screen saver to 10 hours.
       
     • Turning Power Saver on sets the screen saver to the last saved setting under 10 hours. If no setting was previously saved, the default setting is used.
     • When Power Saver is off, an “Are you watching?” message appears after nine hours of inactivity.
7. Press Exit to finish.
   
   Please note that you can preview your new screensaver by selecting Screen Saver Preview.
