With Xfinity Multiview on X1, you can watch up to four live sports games or special events at the same time, right on the big screen. If you have Limited Basic, Choice, TV Core, or higher and compatible equipment, you’ll get access to Multiview during select times when it’s available.
With Featured Multiview, you can access curated games or events during Multiview programming windows.
With Create your own Multiview, you can choose up to four games or events from a pre-selected list of games or events during Multiview programming windows. Here’s how to Create your own Multiview:
- Navigate from the Xfinity Fan View page
- Select from two to four games at a time
- Create your own Multiview is available during large simultaneous sporting events like College Football Saturdays
- Create your own Multiview is available on X1 4K devices only — Xi6, XiOne, and XG1v4
Note:
- If you’re not seeing a game or event, it isn’t available for Multiview at that time.
- Multiview may not be available in certain markets.

If you have a TV Plus package or higher and compatible equipment, you will be able to view pre-selected professional sports and select special events with Multiview during Multiview programming windows.
If you have Xfinity Fan View, you can Create your own Multiview experience from a pre-selected list of games or events.
You can watch several Multiview versions:
- 4K device four-screen experience with the Fan View companion app.
- 2K device four-screen experience.
- Three-screen with rotating spotlight Multiview experience.
- Two-screen Multiview experience
Navigate the Create your own Multiview experience
- Launch the Xfinity Fan View companion app.
- Select the Create your own Multiview tile.
- Choose up to four games on the list.
- Choose to spotlight one game in a larger picture with the other playing on the side, or you can choose one game for full-screen viewing.
- Use the right directional arrow on the Xfinity Voice Remote to get back to the list to select other games.
When there are more than two games on and Multiview is active, you will be able to access the feature the following ways:
- Xfinity Fan View — you can select up to four games from a curated list
- Home screen, For You, and Featured Apps
- Sports Zone
- Sport-specific hubs (NFL, MLB)
- Sports app
- Voice search (“Multiview”)
Note: You won’t be able to access this feature outside of the Multiview programming windows.
If you navigate to Multiview and there are no games scheduled that day, the screen below will appear.
If you navigate to Multiview after the games have ended for the day, the screen below will appear.
If you navigate to Multiview and the games haven’t started, the screen below will appear.
How Multiview works
Features include:
- Multiview will feature channels showing pre-selected professional sports and events; you cannot control which channels are available in Multiview.
- For Create your own Multiview, you can choose up to four games or events from a list of pre-selected games or events.
- For Featured Multiview, you cannot select which games or events are available in Multiview.
- Events will vary based on sports schedules and timing.
- You can navigate between the feeds using the arrows on your Xfinity Voice Remote. The audio from the selected feed will play aloud.
- You can click into a selected feed to exit Multiview and go full screen on that sports game.
- Zoom feature — allows you to zoom in on a game of your choosing without exiting the app; previously, selecting a game required the customer to leave the Multiview experience.
- Xfinity Fan View, available only on 4K devices (Xi6, XiOne, XG1v4), offers an exclusive companion app experience, with watch guides, brackets, scores, stats, and odds all in one experience.
- Featured Multiview only: Xfinity Multiview will be available on XiD and Xi5 tv boxes where you will get to watch up to four games at once.

Note: On the 2K devices (Xi5 and XiD devices), you may experience several seconds of a Multiview loading screen until you are able to view the app.
FAQs
Can I choose the channels I want in Multiview?
For Featured Multiview, no. At this time, Featured Multiview will not allow you to customize your Multiview with the channels they want.
For Create your own Multiview, yes. You can customize your Multiview experience with the Xfinity Fan View companion app, which is available on 4K X1 devices only: Xi6, XiOne, and XG1v4 devices.
Can I switch between audio feeds in Multiview?
Yes. The audio will play from whichever Multiview tile is highlighted. One screen can have audio and closed captioning.
Can the Multiview tile be moved?
No. The Multiview tile placement is fixed at this time.
Why am I seeing a “No live events being broadcast right now” message?
There is no or only one event being broadcast at the moment. Multiview can only be accessed when multiple games are broadcast simultaneously.
Why am I seeing sports on one screen and non-sports on the other screen?
This is a temporary experience when games start or stop on a staggered schedule.
What is the cost of upgrading equipment?
There is no charge if you use the on-screen swap experience. If you request expedited shipping, there are shipping and handling fees. If you request an agent to ship them you new equipment, there is a shipping charge.
