On Saturday, August 1, CBS is moving from its current channel to a new channel in several areas. In some cases, programming won’t be available right away. The channel stations may take several days to begin broadcasting.
To watch CBS as soon as possible, anyone using digital terminal adapters (DTAs) or non-Xfinity X1 TV Boxes will need high definition (HD)-capable equipment and TV, and a TV package that has HD services.
The CW and FOX will also be moving to different channels.
Note: The decision to make these changes was made by the networks and stations’ owners, not Comcast.

FAQs
What’s changing?
CBS is switching station affiliations in several areas. As a result, CBS programming will air on different channels beginning Saturday, August 1.
Why is CBS on a different channel?
The local station’s network affiliation changed. The previous CBS station will now feature different programming.
Am I losing CBS programming? What about FOX and CW programming?
No. CBS programming is moving to a different local station and channel. FOX and CW are still available. They’re just moving to other channels.
Why are CW and FOX on different channels?
The network affiliation changes resulted in CW and FOX moving as well.
How can I find the new channels?
Use the Xfinity Channel Lineup and TV Guide to find the new channel and station. Or just say the network’s name (“CBS,” “FOX,” etc.) or a show name (“PGA Tour,” “Bluebloods," etc.) into your Xfinity Voice Remote.
Note: Some channels where CBS will be airing won’t show up in your channel lineup until the station starts broadcasting.
Why can I watch CBS on one TV but not another?
That TV may be using older SD-only equipment, such as a DTA or non-X1 TV Box. In addition, the SD channel may not be available yet. It should be available within a few days.
To watch CBS sooner, you’ll need to replace your DTA or non-X1 TV Box with an HD-capable TV Box and a TV package that has HD services.
Can I watch CBS without interruption with HD-capable equipment during these changes?
Yes. You should be able to watch CBS on the new HD channel without interruption, if you have the right equipment.
How can I tell which TV Box I’m using, and how can I replace it?
If you rent a TV Box from Xfinity, you can find out which one you have and if you’re eligible for an upgrade by going to:

Will my scheduled recordings still work?
You should be able to watch anything you’re already recorded. But future recordings and Favorites tied to the previous channels may not follow automatically. Check to see if you’ll need to set up recordings again on the new channels.
Should a technician be sent to fix this?
No. This isn’t a repair issue. A technician can’t restore the previous affiliations or accelerate SD channels’ broadcast timelines.
