This article outlines the steps to enable or disable the announcement of the date and time when playing a voicemail message for Xfinity Voice. These settings can be managed by telephone or the Xfinity Voice website.
Set date and time announcement by telephone
To modify the date and time announcement:
- Access the voicemail system.
- From the main menu, press 4 for personal options.
- Press 2 for administrative options.
- Press 1 to select the message detail playback options.
- Press 1 to enable or disable the date and time announcement at the beginning of each voicemail message.
- Press # to confirm the choice.
Additional options:
- Press 2 to enable the name announcement option at the beginning of each voicemail message.
- If another Xfinity Voice customer who has recorded a name in the voicemail system leaves a message, their name will play.
- Press 3 to toggle between the message and envelope information playback.
- Activate the message playback option to play back the message.
- Activate the envelope information to play back the message information.
Set date and time announcement from Xfinity Voice settings
- Sign in to Xfinity Voice settings using your Xfinity ID and password.
- Click on Checking Voicemail from the navigation menu on the left.
- Under Playback options, click on the checkbox to enable date and time announcement during voicemail playback.
- Uncheck the box to disable date and time announcement during voicemail playback.
