The Xfinity Privacy Center helps us to be transparent about the personal information we collect and manage. It also lets consumers ask us to delete certain personal information about them.
If you'd like to request to delete your personal information, you can do so online by following the steps in this article. Please read our Privacy Policy to learn more about our privacy practices.
I currently have an account
- In the Privacy Center, click Privacy Policy.
- Select the state where you reside.
- Select the Comcast group that may have your personal information.
- Select Deletion Request and click Continue.
- Select Yes if you have an Xfinity ID and password and click Continue.
- Log in to your account with your Xfinity ID and password.
- If you have Two-Step Verification turned on, you’ll need to enter the verification code that we sent by text or email. If you have Multi-Factor Authentication turned on, you’ll need to enter the verification code from our Xfinity Authenticator app.
- If you don’t have Two-Step Verification or Multi-Factor Authentication set up, confirm that your contact methods are up-to-date and then click Next.
- If you contact methods are not up to date, click Edit to make changes.
- These changes will be reflected in your account going forward.
- If you don’t have Two-Step Verification or Multi-Factor Authentication set up, confirm that your contact methods are up-to-date and then click Next.
- The next screen will show information on what information we are able to delete and what we must retain.
- Confirm your information is accurate.
- Click the box to confirm that you're the individual for the request.
- Click Request Deletion.
- You’ll be asked to confirm your deletion request. Submit it by clicking I’m Sure.
- You’ll see a confirmation screen letting you know that we’ll process your request as soon as possible.
- We’ll send a notification when we’ve completed the request.
I used to have an account or I never had an account
- In the Privacy Center, click Privacy Policy.
- Select the state where you reside.
- Select the Comcast group that may have your personal information.
- Select Deletion Request and click Continue.
- Select No if you “Do not have an active account” or if you don’t know your Xfinity ID and password.
- The next screen will show you what information we can delete and what we must retain.
- Enter your first name, last name, street address, phone number and email address related to the request and click Continue.
- We’ll send a verification code to the email address you previously provided with your request in order to verify your identity. Enter the verification code when you receive it.
- We’ll send an email with a link to your mobile phone to verify your identity, you will have up to seven days to verify.
- Click on the link.
- Confirm that you read the Terms and Conditions.
- Verify your identity by:
- Capturing Photo of your ID.
- Taking a Selfie.
- Submitting.
- Once we’ve verified your identity, you’ll see a confirmation screen letting you know that we’ll process your request as soon as possible. We’ll send a notification when we’ve completed the request.
On behalf of someone else
- In the Privacy Center, click Privacy Policy.
- Select the state where you reside.
- Select the Comcast group that may have your personal information.
- Select Deletion Request and click Continue.
- Next screen select I would like to make a request on behalf of someone else.
- Enter your:
- First name.
- Last name.
- Email address.
- Company (if applicable).
- Relationship to the person on whose behalf you are making the request.
- Click Continue.
- Enter the person’s:
- First name.
- Last name.
- Street address.
- Phone number.
- Email address related to the request.
- Click Continue.
- The next screen will show what information we can delete and what we must retain.
- Confirm that the information provided is complete and accurate.
- Click Request Deletion.
- You’ll see a confirmation screen letting you know:
- We’ve received your request.
- We’ll need to verify the request with the person it was made for before we move forward with processing it.
- They’ll have up to seven days to verify their identity via a link in the email we sent before the request expires.
- They’ll be brought to a page where they can begin the verification process.
- Once we’ve verified their identity, they’ll see a confirmation screen letting them know that we’ll process the request as soon as possible.
- We’ll send a notification when we’ve completed the request.
