DAZN (pronounced “da-zone”) is an over-the-top (OTT) subscription service where you can play, pause and rewind over 8,000 live and On Demand sporting events every year. Subscribing to DAZN gives you access to:
- Unlimited ad-free live and On Demand boxing and MMA events.
- Exclusive coverage of 70+ fight nights.
- Soccer, cricket, darts, and more!
To use the DAZN app, you’ll need:
- A compatible X1 TV Box (RNG150s and Pace XG1v1s not supported) as part of your Xfinity TV service, or a streaming TV Box.
- Xfinity Internet service (any level).

YES Network migration to DAZN
The Gotham Sports app is being shut down by YES Network and MSG Network. Content previously available on the Gotham Sports app will now be available through the DAZN app, which is available on Xfinity TV.
- Xfinity customers who get YES Network with their video package can access the DAZN app and authenticate using their Xfinity credentials.
- The timing for when the Gotham Sports app will be shut down may change. Right now, both networks have indicated their intent to keep the Gotham Sports app working through October. After the content moves to the DAZN app, the Gotham Sports app may redirect customers to DAZN for a short time.
- You should get on-screen prompts and email notifications from the app provider around the time of the move.

I already have access to the Gotham Sports app. Do I need a new account with DAZN?
If you signed up directly through the Gotham Sports app, you may need to create or activate a DAZN account depending on DAZN's sign-in experience. If you have access to the Gotham Sports app through Xfinity, then access is verified using your Xfinity credentials.
Where can I watch New York Yankees/Brooklyn Nets/New York Liberty games now?
Xfinity customers with YES Network in their video package can access YES Network content through the DAZN app by authenticating with their Xfinity credentials.
What happened to Gotham Sports?
The Gotham Sports app has been shutdown. You should use the DAZN app to continue accessing YES Network and MSG Network content.
Access DAZN on your TV Box/streaming TV Box
The easiest way to get to the DAZN app is by saying “DAZN app” (pronounced “da-zone”) into your remote.
You can also find the DAZN app by:
- Pressing the xfinity button on your remote.
- Choosing Apps.
- Going to DAZN under Video.
- Your email address will be pre-filled to speed the sign-up process on the TV Box/streaming TV Box.
You can easily find live events from DAZN by saying “live sports” into your remote. You can also get there by:
- Pressing the xfinity button on your remote.
- Pressing the right arrow until you get to On Demand.
- Going to Sports.
Note: You’ll need a subscription to watch content.
Log in and access the DAZN home screen
The DAZN subscription can be signed up for at dazn.com/x1 or choose SIGN IN if you're already subscribed.
After you log in, you'll see the DAZN home screen. The Menu options will be along the top for SPORTS, SCHEDULE, SEARCH and Settings. To browse events:
- Press the down arrow to scroll through categories such as Featured and Don’t Miss.
- Press the right arrow to browse the options under each category.
Browse sports by genre
Choosing Sports from the home screen’s Menu will show you available sports to watch. You can then filter the results (e.g., if the game’s a replay or by a certain fighter).
Browse events by date
Choosing Schedule from the home screen’s Menu lets you see all available events by scrolling by date.
Troubleshooting FAQs
I don’t have Xfinity TV, but I have Xfinity Internet. Can I get the DAZN app?
Yes, if you have Xfinity Flex or a Xumo Stream Box from Xfinity.
Why am I getting errors within the DAZN app?
If an error within the DAZN app prevents you from using it, try exiting DAZN and relaunching the app. If that doesn’t work, try restarting your box. If you still can’t use the app, contact us.
Why is the DAZN app frozen?
If the DAZN app is frozen on your screen, try exiting DAZN and then relaunching the app. If the DAZN app is still frozen, try restarting your box. If that doesn’t help, contact us.
Why are DAZN videos buffering?
Since DAZN is an Internet application, it works just like DAZN on your tablet or mobile device, which buffers videos any time there’s a slow internet connection.
How do I get back to the X1 menu once I am in the DAZN app on X1?
Press the Exit button on your remote to exit the DAZN app. You can also press the Guide or xfinity buttons.
General FAQs
How much does DAZN cost?
DAZN is a separate subscription service that requires Xfinity TV or Internet; you can see DAZN plans and pricing for more information.
Note: DAZN is an internet-delivered service that counts toward your monthly Internet data usage.
Can you pause/rewind/DVR DAZN events?
Yes, you can pause, rewind and fast-forward events that you’re watching on DAZN. But you won’t be able to DVR events.
Do I need to register or sign-in to use DAZN?
Yes. Since DAZN is a subscription service, you must sign up and sign in to access the app.
Is DAZN in High Definition (HD)?
Yes, DAZN content will stream at 1080p.
Does DAZN have closed captioning?
Yes, the DAZN app supports closed captioning when it’s available. If the event has subtitles available, launch the event and in the player controls, click on Subtitles and select Language. At this time, not all events have closed captioning.
How do I block access to DAZN on X1?
There are several ways you can block access to the DAZN app on X1.
- Block DAZN content by selecting Settings > Parental Controls > TV Rating Locks > TV-MA. Once locked, a Parental Control PIN is required before you can access the DAZN app.
- You can block access to the DAZN app using App Locks.
Does DAZN have parental controls?
No; as a linear/live channel OTT service, each stream will have multiple pieces of video content with a variety of ratings. As such, parental controls have not been implemented by DAZN. X1 customers who want to enforce content restrictions are encouraged to set App Locks for DAZN.
Note: Once the DAZN app is launched, X1 Parental Control settings will not guard against content searches or playback within the DAZN app.
Are there any X1 TV Boxes that DAZN will not be available on?
Yes, due to technical limitations with some X1 TV Boxes, DAZN won’t be available on RNG150 TV Boxes and Pace XG1v1 TV Boxes.
How do I set up a purchase PIN in the DAZN app on X1 or Flex?
The DAZN app does not have a purchase PIN setting. If you created a purchase PIN on your X1 or Flex streaming TV Box, that PIN will not extend to the DAZN app.
