  1. Make sure all TVs and computers are in your home, in place and working.
  2. Move TVs and entertainment centers away from the wall, 3 to 5 feet.
  3. Know where your cable outlets are or where you want to install them. Be sure to make those areas accessible.
  4. Be sure an adult 18 years or older is around for the duration of the installation. It usually takes between 2 and 4 hours.
  5. Have all your equipment available for the technician (e.g., wireless cards, modems, routers, Wireless Gateways).
  6. Make sure your computers are fully updated prior to your appointment.
