Change the Number of Rings Before Your Voicemail Answers

This article outlines the steps to change the number of telephone rings before a caller is directed to voicemail with XFINITY Voice service.

Change the Number of Rings Before Voicemail Answers - New Experience

To change the number of rings before voicemail answers:
  1. Go to http://www.xfinity.com/ and click the Menu button. Menu button.
  2. Select the Voice icon in the drop-down list.
  3. Enter your primary XFINITY username and password.
  4. Depending on your version of XFINITY Connect:
    • Click the Settings icon The settings cog icon in the upper-right corner and select Settings to see your Voice Preferences

    • Click the Preferences tab and select the Voice icon. The voice icon is found int he preferences tab
  5. Click on Call Forwarding and Rings or Advanced Call Forwarding to expand the selection.

  6. Click on the pencil icon Selecting the pencil icon lets you edit the rings column to edit the RINGS column by phone number.

  7. Click the drop-down menu next to Rings before voicemail.
    You can select the preferrred number of rings in the drop down menu
  8. Select the number of rings you want before the call goes to voicemail.
  9. Click Save to save your changes.
    • Note: The ring count changes on the page immediately, but in some cases the change can take up to 24 hours to take effect. If you'd like more assistance, you can also chat with us.
