The email toolbar puts you in control of your messages. Just move your cursor to the email toolbar to take advantage of any of the options below.

XFINITY Connect Email Toolbar - New Experience

When you move your cursor over the icons displayed below, text will appear to tell you what each icon does.

Compose a New Email

When selecting this icon, you are able to compose a new message.

The Compose icon, used to compose a new message; reads "Compose."


Refresh Inbox

Clicking this icon will manually update your mailbox with new messages. XFINITY Connect also updates your mailbox automatically based on settings in the Mail Settings section.

Access Mail Settings by clicking the Settings icon The Settings icon. in the upper right side of the screen. Make sure you are on the Mail tab when selecting the Settings icon.

Reply to sender, Reply to all recipients or Forward

XFINITY Connect allows you to:
  • Reply to a message
  • Reply to all
  • Forward a message

Delete

Clicking this icon will move selected message(s) to the Trash folder.

Move an Email

Clicking this icon will move selected message(s) to a different folder.

Mark as Spam

Selecting a message and clicking this icon will move the selected message(s) to the Spam folder.

The Mark as Spam icon, which will move the message to the Spam folder.


Unmark as Spam

If you incorrectly marked messages as Spam, you can select Not Spam to move the message back to your inbox.

Unmark as Spam icon, which allows you to label things as Not Spam.


Print an Email

Clicking this icon will allow you to print the selected message(s).

View

When clicking this icon, you will see a drop-down list. Choose how you would like to view your message(s):
  • Vertical - The message list will appear to the right of the folder list and a preview pane will appear to the right of the message list.
  • Horizontal - The message list will appear to the right of the folder list across the screen. A preview pane will appear underneath the message list.
  • List - The message list will appear to the right of the folder list across the screen with no preview pane.
The View icon, which allows you to change the way you view your messages.


More Actions

When you select a message or multiple messages, the More Actions icon will appear in the toolbar. When you click this icon, you will see a drop-down list. You can mark your selected message(s) as read or unread, copy your selected message(s) and move to another folder, save your message(s) as a file to your desktop (.eml format) or view the source code of your selected message(s).

XFINITY Connect Email Toolbar

Compose a New Email

When selecting this option, you're given four options from the drop-down menu.
  • Compose a new message.
  • Create a new contact.
  • Create a new contact group.
  • Create a new folder.

Get Email

Clicking this option will manually update your mailbox with new messages. XFINITY Connect also updates your mailbox automatically based on settings in the Preferences tab.

Reply to or Forward Email

XFINITY Connect allows you to:
  • Reply to a message
  • Reply to all
  • Forward a message

Delete a Message

Clicking this option will move selected message(s) to the Trash folder.

Move an Email

Clicking this option will move selected message(s) to a different folder.

Mark as Spam

By selecting a message and marking it as Spam, you modify your junk filter to treat all future messages from this particular sender as Spam. Spam settings may also be set in the Preferences tab.

Print an Email

Clicking this option is the quickest way to print one or many emails.

Change the View

You can:
  • View your emails by message.
  • View your emails by conversation type.
  • Open an email in a separate window.
  • Enable/disable the reading pane.
     
Actions

Clicking this option lets you mark an email as read or unread, view source of an email, launch an email in a separate window or edit as a new email.
