Understanding which email types are subject to automatic deletion in Xfinity Email.
Default email deletion settings
Email deletion settings in Xfinity Email are programmed to automatically remove old messages from your Spam and Trash folders based on their age:
- Flagged spam: deleted after seven days
- Trash: deleted after 14 days
Email deletion settings cannot be edited or customized Messages in your Inbox and Sent folders are never removed or deleted automatically.
Creating personal folders
If you want to save and organize your emails, we recommend creating a personal folder.
The folder(s) you create will be displayed in the left-hand navigation bar. If a personal folder is nested under the Spam or Trash folders, it will also be affected by the deletion settings.
Recovering deleted emails
If you deleted email(s) from your Xfinity Email account by accident, see the instructions for recovering them.
