Turn Off Proxy Server in Safari

Find everything you need to know about removing your proxy server setting in Safari.


  1. Select Safari from the top menu and click Preferences...

  2. Select the Advanced icon from the top list and click Change Settings...

  3. This will open the Proxies section of the Network Preferences. Nothing should be checked in here; if it is, remove the check mark and click OK.

  4. Close the Network Preferences window and return to Safari. You will no longer be using a web proxy.
