Find the MAC Address on an Apple Device with OS X

At times, you may need to identify a device that has been registered to your XFINITY account by finding the device's Media Access Control (MAC) address. This article explains how to locate your MAC address on an Apple computer with OS X.

Locate the MAC Address of an Apple Computer with OS X

  1. Select About This Mac from the Apple menu.

  2. Select the More Info button.

  3. Select the System Report button.

  4. Under the Network header, select the Wi-Fi option.  Look for MAC Address - this is your device's MAC address.  In the example below, the MAC address is AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF.
    This displays "Wi-Fi" selected under the Network header on the left. To the right-center side of the screen your computer's MAC Address can be found.
