How is the new experience better?
  • Arming and disarming your security system is faster and easier, as the Security shield on the Home screen lets you see your system's security status at a glance. Plus, we've improved the screen messages and feedback when you arm and disarm your system.
  • View and interact with your Cameras, Lights, Thermostats and other devices from one consolidated Dashboard screen - everything you need only one click away.
  • Clock and weather are always visible on the Home screen; no need to open separate apps to see them.
  • More Home screen layout options.
  • Improved alert/trouble messages.
  • The new look is simplified and functions more like to the XFINITY Home app for mobile devices.
  • Similar to your favorite Apple and Android devices, XFINITY Home continues to improve based on your feedback and the latest advances in technology. We're excited to deliver you new and innovative features, beginning with the new Touchscreen Controller experience.
Can I go back to the previous look?
No, once your Touchscreen Controller has been updated to the new experience it can't be returned to the previous version. The new screens are being delivered in phases to all XFINITY Home - Secure customers and almost everyone will have the new look soon.

What happened to my Home screen? Where are all of my apps?
Functions formerly used through apps have been integrated into the streamlined new experience. Here's a quick look at how to access previous app functions in your current Touchscreen Controller:
  • Security App
    Tap the Security shield on the Home screen.
  • Individual Device Apps
    The Dashboard lets you access all of your devices from one screen. Tap the Dashboard icon (four squares at the upper left) on the Home screen.
  • Display Preferences
    You can customize your Home screen to display the Security, Clock, Weather or Camera screen. On the Home screen, tap the More icon (three dots at the upper right) to open the More menu, then tap Display Preferences. Tap your preference.
  • Settings App
    On the Home screen, tap the More icon (three dots at the upper right) to open the More menu, then tap Settings. Settings are currently the same as in the Apps interface.
  • Weather Channel App
    Current weather conditions now appear at the top of the Home screen. Tap the Weather icon to see current weather details and a daily forecast and to access to a five-day forecast.
  • Clock App
    The current time now appears at the top of the Home screen.
  • Sleep Mode
    Blanks out the display. On the Home screen tap the More icon (three dots at the upper right) to open the More menu, then tap Sleep Mode.
  • Help & FAQs App
    To learn more about the new look, on the Home screen, tap the More icon (three dots at the upper right) to open the More menu, then tap Take a Guided Tour.
Why did the emergency alarm (panic) function change?
Combining the police, fire and medical alarms into a single police alarms decreases confusion in an emergency and helps prevent false alarms.

Why can't I control my Door Locks from the Touchscreen Controller anymore?
This feature will be available in a future update. Meanwhile, you can still control your locks from the XFINITY Home app for mobile devices.

Does my security system work differently now?
No, the change doesn't affect how your security system functions. The new Touchscreen Controller experience does make it easier to arm and disarm your system by providing improved screens, messages and feedback.

Can I still use my Touchscreen Controller to monitor live video?
Yes. You can customize your Home screen to display your Cameras so you can monitor real-time video at a glance.

Where can I learn more about the new look-and-feel?
