Turn Rules On or Off in the XFINITY Home App for Mobile Devices

Turning Rules On and Off

When a rule is on, it runs according to its definition. When a rule is off, the rule is inactive and doesn't run.
  1. Sign into the XFINITY Home app for mobile devices. See Sign Into Your XFINITY Home Subscriber Portal or XFINITY Home App for Mobile Devices.
  2. On the Overview screen, tap the Automation icon.

  3. On the Automation screen, there are two ways you can turn a rule on and off:
    • Swipe left on a rule to show on/off and delete options for the rule. Tap the On/Off tile to turn the rule On or Off.

    • Tap the rule to see its settings. On the Customize screen, tap the On/Off switch at the upper right to turn the rule On (blue switch with the circle at the right, shown below) or Off (gray switch with the circle at the left).

Did You Know? You can also turn rules on and off in your XFINITY Home Subscriber Portal, but only for rules you added in the Subscriber Portal (rules added using the app don't appear in the Subscriber Portal). See Turn Rules On or Off in the XFINITY Home - Secure Subscriber Portal.
