Learn what to do when you have a problem with a Lutron Caseta Wireless Light Switch or Dimmer connected to your XFINITY Home system.

  • XFINITY Home - Secure, XFINITY Home - Automation or XFINITY Home - Control
  • An Apple or Android mobile device
  • Access to the XFINITY Home app for mobile devices
  • A Lutron Caseta Wireless Light Switch or Dimmer, installed and activated according to the manufacturer
  • Your Lutron login credentials

Troubleshooting Your Lutron Caseta Wireless Light Switch or Dimmer

Have you installed your Lutron device and activated it with the Lutron mobile app? If you haven't, please visit the Lutron site (www.casetawireless.com/pages/support.aspx).

Have you connected your Lutron device to the XFINITY Home app for mobile devices? If you haven't, see Connect Your Lutron Caseta Wireless Light Switch or Dimmer to Your XFINITY Home Service.

Do you know how to control your device from the XFINITY Home app for mobile devices? If you don't, see Control Your Lutron Caseta Wireless Light Switch or Dimmer from the XFINITY Home App for Mobile Devices.

If you can't control your Lutron Caseta Wireless Light Switch or Dimmer from the XFINITY Home app for mobile devices:
  1. Restart the XFINITY Home app for mobile devices.
  2. If the problem continues, confirm that you can control your Caseta Wireless Light Switch or Dimmer from the Lutron app.
    • If you can control the device from the Lutron app, wait a few minutes, and then try the XFINITY Home app for mobile devices again, or call 1-800-XFINITY.
    • If you can't control the device from the Lutron app, please contact Lutron Customer Support directly at 1-800-523-9466.
If your rules to control your Lutron Caseta Wireless Light Switch or Dimmer aren't working:
  1. Verify that the rule is enabled. See Turn Rules On or Off in the XFINITY Home App for Mobile Devices.
  2. If the problem continues, restart the XFINITY Home app for mobile devices.
  3. If the problem continues, delete the rule, then re-add the rule. See Delete Rules in the XFINITY Home App for Mobile Devices and Add or Change Rules in the XFINITY Home App for Mobile Devices.
  4. If the problem continues, confirm that you can control your Caseta Wireless Light Switch or Dimmer from the Lutron app.
    • If you can control the device from the Lutron app, wait a few minutes, and then try the XFINITY Home app for mobile devices again, or call 1-800-XFINITY.
    • If you can't control the device from the Lutron app, please contact Lutron Customer Support directly 1-800-523-9466.
