Download 24/7 Video Recording Motion Event Clips from Your XFINITY Home Subscriber Portal

What You'll Need
  • XFINITY Home
  • XFINITY 24/7 Video Recording
  • At least one 24/7 Video Recording-compatible Camera connected to your XFINITY Home system
  • Access to your XFINITY Home Subscriber Portal
  • The VLC Media Player installed on your computer


Downloading Video

Remember, video from your 24/7 Video Recording Cameras is are only stored on your XFINITY Home Subscriber portal for 10 days. Be sure to download the clips you want to keep permanently.

Currently, downloaded video clips can only be played back using the VLC Media Player. For instructions on downloading and installing the player, see VLC Media Player.
  1. Sign in to your Subscriber Portal. See Sign Into Your XFINITY Home Subscriber Portal or XFINITY Home App for Mobile Devices.
  2. In the Overview screen, click Cameras.

    On the Cameras page, you can see live video feeds from your Cameras. Your primary Camera displays in the center screen with additional Camera images above.
  3. Click the Camera image of the Camera you want to see events for.
  4. Click All Motion Events for a list of recorded events bookmarked automatically when the Camera detected motion.

  5. Can't find the image you're looking for? Click Load More to see additional events.

    Did You Know? You can click Go Live at any time to return to the selected Camera's live video feed.
  6. Move your mouse pointer over an image, then click the download arrow icon that appears in the upper-right corner of the image.

  7. The selected video clip is saved in a .ZIP file in the default download location for your web browser, so you'll need to extract the video file to view or replay.
