Manage Videos and Pictures for XFINITY Home - Automation

Learn how to manage the video clips and pictures taken in your XFINITY Home - Automation system and saved to your Subscriber Portal.

Did You Know? You can also access your saved pictures and videos through the XFINITY Home app for mobile devices (see XFINITY Home App for Mobile Devices for XFINITY Home - Automation - Getting Started and the XFINITY Home app for XFINITY X1 TV boxes (see View XFINITY Home Camera Feeds, Saved Photos and Videos from Your X1 TV Box).

  • XFINITY Home - Automation
  • At least one Camera connected to your XFINITY Home system
  • XFINITY Live Video Monitoring or 24/7 Live Video Recording
  • Access to your XFINITY Home Subscriber Portal

Which Subscriber Portal Are You Using?

Managing Video Clips and Pictures in the New Subscriber Portal

  1. Sign in to your Subscriber Portal. (See Sign Into Your XFINITY Home Subscriber Portal or XFINITY Home App for Mobile Devices.)
  2. On the Overview page, click Cameras in the menu bar.

  3. Check which video service you have.


24/7 Video Recording
  1. Choose the videos that you want to manage.
    • Click All Motion Events to see a list of videos automatically bookmarked by your 24/7 Video Recording-capable Cameras when they detected motion.
      XFINITY Home opened to a recorded video, All Motion Events option is in bottom right corner.
       
  2. Click the thumbnail to play video recorded during motion events.

    • Can't find the image you're looking for? Click Load More to see additional events.
    • Want to access motion event clips outside of your XFINITY Home Subscriber Portal? Download them! Motion events are only stored on your XFINITY Home Subscriber Portal for 10 days. For more details, see Download 24/7 Video Recording Motion Event Clips from Your XFINITY Home Subscriber Portal.
    • Please remember that downloaded video clips taken by your 24/7 Video Recording-enabled Cameras can only be viewed using the VLC Player.


Live Video Monitoring (LVM)

On the Cameras page, scroll down to the Saved Pictures and Videos section to see pictures and video captured by Live Video Monitoring.

Did You Know? Live Video Monitoring allows you to create rules to automatically take pictures and video clips (see Manage Rules and Modes for XFINITY Home - Automation).
  • Want to see a full-size version of a video or picture? Click the thumbnail picture for the item you want to see full-size.
  • Can't find the image you're looking for? Click Load More to see all of your saved videos and pictures.
  • Want to access video clips and pictures outside of your XFINITY Home Subscriber Portal? Download them! Move your mouse pointer over an image, then click the download arrow icon that appears in the upper-right corner of the image. The items are saved in a .ZIP file in the default download location for your web browser, so you'll need to extract the files to view them. (Make sure you download any videos/pictures you want to keep - they're only stored in your XFINITY Home Subscriber Portal for 30 days.)
  • Want to get rid of some videos/pictures? Move your mouse pointer over an image, and then click the trash icon that appears in the upper-right corner of the image.

Managing Video Clips and Pictures in the Previous Subscriber Portal

  1. Sign in to your Subscriber Portal. (See Sign Into Your XFINITY Home Subscriber Portal or XFINITY Home App for Mobile Devices.)
  2. On the Main page, scroll down to the Saved Pictures & Videos section, then click View Saved Pictures and Videos.

Did You Know? Live Video Monitoring allows you to create rules to automatically take pictures and video clips (see Manage Rules and Modes for XFINITY Home - Automation). You can still access the Live Video Monitoring features in the previous Subscriber Portal, however, if you have the new 24/7 Video Recording service, you will need to access the new Subscriber Portal to use its features.
  • Want to see a full-size version of a video or picture? Click the thumbnail picture for the item you want to see full-size.
  • Want to access video clips and pictures outside of your Subscriber Portal? Download them! Check the box next to each item to download, then click Download. The items are saved in a .ZIP file in the default download location for your web browser, so you'll need to extract the files to view them. (Make sure you download any videos/pictures you want to keep - they're only stored in your Subscriber Portal for 30 days.)
  • Want to get rid of some videos/pictures? Check the box next to each item you want to remove, then click Delete.
