Disconnect a Device from Your XFINITY Home System

This article explains how to disconnect your Works with XFINITY Home devices from the XFINITY Home system via the XFINITY Home app for mobile devices.

What You'll Need
  • XFINITY Home - Secure, XFINITY Home - Automation or XFINITY Home - Control
  • An Apple or Android mobile device
  • Access to the XFINITY Home app for mobile devices
  • Your XFINITY Home username and password

Instructions for Disconnecting Using the XFINITY Home App for Mobile Devices

  1. Sign in to the XFINITY Home app for mobile devices (see Sign Into Your XFINITY Home Subscriber Portal or XFINITY Home App for Mobile Devices).
  2. Go to the Works with XFINITY Home screen.
    • If you have an Android device, tap the Settings icon (which appears as three dots in the upper-right screen), then select Works with XFINITY Home.

    • If you have an Apple device, tap More and then tap Works With XFINITY Home.

  3. Under Connected Accounts, you'll see all Works with XFINITY Home devices that are connected to your XFINITY Home account. Tap on the device that you want to disconnect.

  4. On the product screen, tap Disconnect Account. Nest is shown as an example, but the steps to disconnect other Works with XFINITY Home accounts are the same.
    • Note: If you have multiple devices (e.g., multiple Nest devices on the same account), disconnecting the account will disconnect all devices associated with that account.

  5. Tap the back arrow to go back to the Works with XFINITY Home screen.

  6. The manufacturer's name no longer displays under Connected Accounts. If you accidentally disconnected your Works with XFINITY Home device, simply follow the steps to connect Works with XFINITY Home equipment to the XFINITY Home app for mobile devices to connect your device again.
