View Live Video and Take Pictures With XFINITY Home - Automation

Learn how to view live video feeds, take pictures and record video clips from the Cameras in your XFINITY Home - Automation system.

Did You Know? Our Live Video Monitoring service allows you to create rules for automatically taking pictures and video clips (see Manage Rules and Modes for XFINITY Home - Automation). You can access your saved pictures and videos here in your Subscriber Portal, the XFINITY Home app for mobile devices (see XFINITY Home App for Mobile Devices - Getting Started), and the XFINITY Home app for XFINITY X1 TV boxes (see View XFINITY Home Camera Feeds, Saved Photos and Videos from Your X1 TV Box.

Note: If you don't have Live Video Monitoring, you won't see the Saved Pictures & Videos section of the Main page. To learn more about Live Video Monitoring, please contact us.

Which Subscriber Portal Are You Using?

Viewing Live Video and Taking Pictures and Video Clips in the New Subscriber Portal

  1. Sign in to your Subscriber Portal (see Sign Into Your XFINITY Home Subscriber Portal or XFINITY Home App for Mobile Devices).
  2. On the Overview page, you'll see the live video feed from your primary Camera. Click Cameras in the menu bar.

  3. On the Cameras page, the live video feed from your primary Camera is displayed. If you have additional Cameras, they display as smaller images. To view the live video feed from another Camera, click a small Camera image.

  4. Click Record Video to record a 15-second video clip.
  5. Click Take a Photo to take a picture.
  6. Move your mouse pointer over the main Camera image.

  7. If the star icon in the top-right corner is blue, this is your primary Camera. If the star is white, click the star to make this Camera your primary Camera. The video feed from your primary Camera displays on the Overview page.

Viewing Live Video and Taking Pictures and Video Clips in the Previous Subscriber Portal

  1. Sign in to your Subscriber Portal (see Sign Into Your XFINITY Home Subscriber Portal or XFINITY Home App for Mobile Devices).
  2. On the Main page, in the Cameras section, click View Live Cameras.

  3. On the Cameras page, the live video feed from one Camera is displayed. If you have additional Cameras, they display as smaller images above the main video feed. To view the live video feed from another Camera, click a small Camera image.
    • Click Take Video Clip to record a 15-second video clip.
    • Click Take Picture to take a picture.
