Change the Start or Stop Time of a Recording on Your X1 DVR

After setting up a recording for the XFINITY X1, you have the ability to extend the start or stop time of a recorded program.

Change Recording Start or Stop Time

  1. Press the xfinity button on the remote.
  2. Use the arrow buttons on the remote to highlight Saved and press OK.
    Saved option is highlighted in the menu. The Saved option is the second option from the left.
     
  3. Highlight Scheduled and press OK.
    The Scheduled option is the third option from the left in the Saved menu
     
  4. Highlight a program to modify and press OK.
    Use the down arrow button to highlight a program.  Here Season 3, Episode 11 of Shark Tank is highlighted.
     
  5. Highlight Options and press OK.
    Program Information screen. The Options choice is automatically selected when clicking OK in the previous step.
     
  6. Highlight Just this Episode and press OK.
    The Just This Episode option is automatically selected when pressing OK in the previous step. The other option to the right is All Future Episodes.
     
  7. Highlight the Start time and use the left or right arrow buttons to modify - select either 1 or 2 minutes early.
    Start Time Option with On Time selected.
     
  8. Highlight the Stop time and use the left or right arrow buttons to modify - select between 1, 5 or 30 minutes late (options for live programming - 30, 60 or 90 minutes late).
    Stop Time option with On Time selected.
     
  9. Highlight Confirm and press OK.
    The Confirm option is at the top of the Record Options screen
     
  10. A message confirming your recording will display.
    A confirmation message displaying the program name, broadcast time and channel.
