XRE-09017 - Unable to Play Video - X1 Error Code

This article provides instructions on resolving the "XRE - 09017" error, which occurs while trying to pair your remote control with XFINITY X1.

Steps to Resolve Issue

When this error occurs, you will see the following message:
  • "Unable to Play Video. We have run into a problem."
First, try pairing your remote control again. Then, double check to see if the batteries in your remote are working and replace them, if necessary.

To resolve the issue, you may need to restart your X1 TV box.
