Access and Watch Games on the X1 Sports App

The Xfinity X1 Sports app provides fast and convenient access to live games, scores of all games currently in progress, additional coverage of the games you aren't watching and upcoming league schedules.

Launching the X1 Sports App

There are a few different ways to access the Sports app on X1. While watching full-screen TV (not using the guide), simply press the C button on your remote control. The X1 Sports app will then appear on the right-hand side of your screen.

You can also access the X1 Sports app using the Xfinity Voice Remote by pressing the microphone button and saying, "Sports App."

Or you can take the following steps:
  1. Press the xfinity button on your remote control.
  2. Using the right arrow button, scroll to highlight Apps. Press the OK button.
  3. Find and highlight the Sports app tile, and press the OK button.

  4. Press Exit once to return to the Apps menu, or press Exit twice to return to standard TV viewing.

Using the X1 Sports App

  1. Once you've launched the X1 Sports app, you can view all watchable games via Watch Now, or by a specific conference or league, such as NFL or NBA.

  2. Use the right and left arrow buttons to navigate between scores for MLB, NHL, NBA, NFL, NASCAR, NCAA football and basketball, and professional soccer (select leagues) games when in season.

  3. Choose a game, highlight Watch and press OK.
    • This option is only available for live sporting events that are currently airing within your channel lineup, as indicated by the TV icon at the top right of each sporting event.
    • If multiple live viewing options are available, you'll be able to choose your preferred option before tuning to the network.
  4. If you subscribe to X1 DVR service (and the current game is part of your subscription), highlight Record and press OK to set a recording.
  5. Select Current Standings for league details including games played, wins, losses, points and more.

Manage Your X1 Sports App Notification Settings

  1. Using the remote, press the xfinity button.
  2. Highlight Settings (the gear icon) and press OK.

  3. Highlight Preferences and press OK.
    Preferences is the first option and highlighted under the Settings screen.
     
  4. Highlight Notifications and press OK.
    Notifications is the second option under the Preferences screen.
     
  5. Highlight Sports, then press OK on the remote to turn Sports notifications on or off.
    Sports is the second option under this screen, currently set to Off.
     
  6. Click Exit to finish.

Sports Voice Assistant on X1

When you say the name of a sports team into your Voice Remote (e.g., “Philadelphia 76ers”), you’ll be taken directly to the team’s live event or a schedule of their upcoming games. In addition, to see a team’s stats, score or schedule, say the name of the team and “Stats”, “Score” or “Schedule” (i.e., say “Phillies Stats”, “Philadelphia 76ers Score” or “Mariners Schedule”).
