RDK-03060 - HDCP Disables Video Playback - X1 error message

This article provides instructions on resolving the "RDK-03060 — HDCP disables video playback if HDMI-connected equipment is not compliant" error.

When this error occurs, you will see the following message:

  • "We're unable to play video. Your HDMI configuration is preventing video from playing. Please make sure your HDMI cable is connected directly into an HDCP-capable device. Unsure if your device is HDCP capable? Visit xfinity.com/xtv for assistance."
To resolve this issue, use a compliant HDMI connector. You could also use a component cable or HDMI cable to connect to the TV, but this approach will lower the quality of the video displayed on the TV.

You may need to restart your TV Box. For more information, please see Restart your X1 TV Box.
