San Bruno email accounts are transitioning to Yahoo. Once you onboard via a dedicated portal, your email data will be migrated, and all future emails will be directed to Yahoo. You will get notifications to help with:
- When and how to access the onboarding portal.
- The onboarding process and timeline.
- Confirmation once migration is complete and your Yahoo mailbox is ready.
First steps
You will start the transition once you log into the portal using your San Bruno email.
If you don’t remember your login details, you will need to contact San Bruno support for help. If your email account has already been moved to Yahoo, you will be prompted to go to Yahoo Mail to sign in.
Transfer options
You will see a legal notice first. Then, you can choose from two options:
- Move your email address and messages to Yahoo. If you choose this option, your San Bruno email address and all your emails will be transferred to Yahoo.
- You can download a copy of your emails or move just the messages to a different email provider. If you choose this option, you will not move your San Bruno email address — only the email content will move.

FAQs
What will happen to my CityNet email address?
You can maintain your current CityNet email address. This opportunity is being provided to Comcast.net email users. Comcast will also be migrating your sanbrunocable.com emails (and associated domains — including SBHSI.com and SBHSI.net).
Once you accept the Yahoo’s Terms of Service, you will only have access to your email through Yahoo Mail. Your current email address will continue to send and receive emails using your San Bruno email address through the Yahoo Mail platform.
How do I move my San Bruno email account to Yahoo Mail?
Comcast will send you different communications (letter, email, and postcard), informing you what steps to take to move your sanbrunocable.com email account to Yahoo Mail. Once you sign up for Yahoo, you will not receive any further communications on the migration.
To make your transition to Yahoo as smooth and simple as possible, Comcast created a user-friendly portal designed to guide you every step of the way. You will be utilizing the email portal, and you will need to accept Yahoo’s terms of service and privacy policy when prompted.
Note: If you have more than one San Bruno account, you will need to log in to the email portal for each address.
How long do I have to move my San Bruno email?
Once the Yahoo terms of service are made available to you, you will have until November 30 to accept them and move to the Yahoo Mail platform.
Can I continue accessing my San Bruno email on the CityNet Email platform after I’ve accepted the Yahoo terms of service and privacy policy?
No. Once you accept Yahoo terms of service, Yahoo Mail will become your email provider, and you will only be able to access your San Bruno email via the Yahoo Mail platform.
What if I don’t want to move to Yahoo Mail, what are my options?
If you don’t want to move your San Bruno email account to Yahoo Mail, you can choose to download or export your email data or simply close your account.
However, if you do not transfer your account to Yahoo Mail:
- You will lose your San Bruno email address.
- Your email account will be closed.
- Email data will eventually be deleted.
To save your email data or close your account, get started with the San Bruno email Data Transfer Tool.
I access my San Bruno email through a third-party email client. Can I continue to access through the third-party email client after I choose to move to Yahoo Mail?
Yes. You will need to:
- Use the email portal to accept Yahoo’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
- Change the configuration on your third-party client to reflect the settings on your new Yahoo Mail account so you can continue to access your email there in the future.
If you’ve accepted Yahoo’s Terms of Service but have not updated your Yahoo settings in the third-party email client, you’ll receive an error if you try to access your San Bruno email via the third-party email client.

I already have a Yahoo email address. Can I have two accounts?

I currently forward all my San Bruno emails to another email address. Will this continue to work?
No, forwarding settings will not be moved to Yahoo Mail, and all forwarding will stop once your San Bruno email is moved to Yahoo Mail. If you want to continue email forwarding, you will need to set up forwarding through your Yahoo Mail account settings.
Will all my settings remain the same in Yahoo Mail?
