Manage Automation Contacts from the Xfinity Home Subscriber Portal

Learn how to update the list of people who can receive notifications of events in your home from your Subscriber Portal. Based on the rules you set up, the people on your Automation Contacts list can be notified when a system event occurs. Your Automation Contacts can also be managed from the Xfinity Home app.

Accessing Your Automation Contacts

Add contact information to ensure that you and your family are notified when key events happen in your home.
  1. Sign in to your Subscriber Portal.
  2. On the Overview page, click the Settings icon at the upper right.

  3. On the Settings page, click Automation in the menu on the left (or scroll down the page to the Automation section).

Did You Know? You can also access your Automation contacts by clicking Automation in the menu bar. On the Automation page, scroll to the bottom of your rules list, then click Edit Automation Contacts.

The Contact List shows the people you can select to be notified when key events happen in your home. You'll need to set up a rule to send the notification in the Xfinity Home app.

There's always one contact for the primary account holder. You can't delete this contact, but you can change it and add others.

Adding a Contact

  1. In the Contact List, click Add Contact.
  2. Enter the name, email and phone number for the person you want to add to the contact list.

  3. Click Email or Number to add another email address or phone number.
  4. Click Save.
Congratulations! When adding a rule you'll be able to send notifications of events to this contact.

Changing a Contact

  1. In the Contact list, click the pencil icon next to the contact that you want to change.
  2. Change the information as needed.

Deleting a Contact

  1. In the Contact List, click the trash icon next to the contact that you want to delete.
  2. Click Continue to confirm that you want to permanently delete the contact.
