Video Services

24/7 Video Recording
24/7 Video Recording continuously records video from your camera and stores it for seven days. You can use the Xfinity Home app, your Subscriber Portal or your X1 TV Box to view live video and review video clips automatically captured when your camera detects activity. 24/7 Video Recording is available to Xfinity Camera customers at a small monthly charge. You must own a compatible camera, or you can purchase one from us. Learn more about 24/7 Video Recording.

Live Video Monitoring
Live Video Monitoring allows you to view live video from your camera. Video is not continuously recorded. If your camera is compatible, you can also save pictures and video clips. Live Video Monitoring is included with your purchase of an Xfinity Camera.

On the Cameras page, you can see live video feeds from your cameras. If you have multiple cameras, your primary camera displays in the center of the screen with additional camera thumbnails above.
  1. Click a camera thumbnail to choose which camera feed displays in the center of the screen.
24/7 Video Recording: If you see the Recording (REC) indicator and a Time Bar below the image instead of buttons, then 24/7 Video Recording is active on the camera. Learn how to use the Subscriber Portal to manage your 24/7 Video Recording features.

Live Video Monitoring: If your camera is compatible, you'll see buttons for taking video clips and still pictures from the camera's live video feed. Click Record Video to record a 15-second video clip. Click Take Photo to take a picture.
    • Scroll down the cameras page to the Saved Pictures and Videos section to see the pictures and videos captured from all cameras. These include pictures and videos you've manually taken from a camera feed. These do not include motion event clips.
    • Click a picture or video thumbnail to see it full-size.
    • Click Load More to see all of your saved videos and pictures.
    • Move your mouse pointer over an image, then click the download arrow icon that appears in the upper-right corner. The selection is saved to the default download location for your web browser.
    • Move your mouse pointer over an image, then click the trash icon that appears in the upper-right corner. Be careful! The image is deleted immediately (you won't be asked to confirm it) and deletion can't be undone.
  2. Do you want to change your primary camera? Move your mouse pointer over the main camera image. If the star icon in the top-right corner is blue, this is your primary camera. If the star is white, click the star to make this camera your primary camera.
  3. On the camera feed view, move your mouse pointer over the image and click the gear icon. On the Camera Settings screen you can turn 24/7 Video Recording on and off (if applicable), change the camera sensitivity to motion (if available for your camera) and reboot the camera.

Note: Videos and pictures are only saved in your account for 30 days. If you want to keep them longer, download them! Learn more about picture and video storage limits.
