You can set up your Xfinity remote to control your TV and sound system, like a sound bar and other pieces of audio equipment. If you have Xfinity X1, a Xumo Stream Box, or Xfinity Flex, follow these steps to connect your remote. If you don't have one of these boxes, see program your remote from your non-X1 TV Box.
Pairing means programming your Xfinity remote to control a specific TV Box.
- Once a remote is paired, it will only work with that one TV Box — until you factory reset it.
- If you have multiple TV Boxes, make sure you're using the remote that’s paired with the box you want to control.
Note: A factory reset will resolve most issues.
