Pluto TV is a free ad-supported, over-the-top (OTT) video service that provides content from digital streaming networks in a “live channel” experience. Without requiring you to register or sign in, Pluto brings content from Hive, Cracked, IGN and others in a 24/7 “live” stream and it’s refreshed throughout the day. When you open the app, you'll see content from over 150 digital content partners presented as a live channel.
To use the Pluto TV app, you'll need:
- A compatible X1 TV Box (RNG150 devices aren't supported) with Xfinity TV service, or a streaming TV Box with Xfinity Flex service
- Xfinity Internet service (any level)
Access Pluto TV on your TV Box or streaming TV Box
You can find the Pluto TV app by saying "Pluto TV" into your remote. You can also:
- Press the xfinity button on your remote.
- Select Apps.
- Go to Pluto TV under Video.

When you open the Pluto TV app, you'll be taken to the home screen. From there, you can browse by Featured, Movies, News and more.
- Launch the Pluto TV app on your TV Box/streaming TV Box.
- Press the up and down arrow to scroll through channel options.
- Press the OK button to show the channel.
Live stream playback
When you select a live show or movie, it'll start playing where the program is in progress - just like a traditional TV channel.
